Healthy communities is defined by the AGC in the broadest sense, moving beyond food and food access to include concepts of walkability, multi-use trail development, recreation, parks and livable and connected communities. The research of issues and opportunities within the region include trends analysis and mapping. The analysis included a variety of socioeconomic indicators including:
• Housing
• Income
• Education
